TERMS OF USE

Welcome to the “Local Communities & Monuments” blog. You are encouraged to take some time so as to read carefully internationally acknowledged terms and conditions concerning access and use of web-pages.

Access and use of any and all data contained in the web-page is free from any direct or indirect charges or obligations. However, all users of MOnuMENTA webpage are subject to the following rules, terms and conditions:

1. Intellectual property
MOnuMENTA and/or its lawfully identified contributors have exclusively any and all rights and remedies in respect of the data, unless provided otherwise herein. All intellectual property rights in respect of the data or any copies thereof, in any form, are reserved by MOnuMENTA.

2. Licence to use
The user may use and reissue, in whole or in part, MOnuMENTA data, provided that the source is indicated. The user may not adapt or alter MOnuMENTA data as well as create derivative works, that are based on those, in whole or in part, in a way that is not consistent with the provisions of the Law, without prior written permission by MOnuMENTA.

3. Liability
The data are of an informative and advisory nature; they are constantly updated and modified. The beneficiary of the data is not liable to compensate or indemnify for any direct or indirect, consequential or future loss.

4. Advertisements
The web-page contains advertisements, as well as other material of an advertising nature. MOnuMENTA is not liable towards the users, as well as any third parties potentially harmed, for any illegal action or omission, inaccuracy or inability to comply with the laws and regulations of any country or European Union in respect of the advertisement’ s content. MOnuMENTA is not obliged and therefore does not examine the lawfulness of the advertising material shown on the web-page, except for obvious cases of infringement of third parties’ rights (that would be easily perceived by the average prudent citizen). Consequently MOnuMENTA cannot be held liable in respect of the advertising material. Such liability burdens the sponsors or the creators of the advertising material.

5. Links to other web-pages
MOnuMENTA provides direct access to other web-pages and/or electronic addresses. MOnuMENTA cannot interfere with or warranty the content of said web-pages and therefore is not liable in respect of such content.

6. Personal data
MOnuMENTA commits itself to use personal data that are voluntarily disclosed by the users in a manner consistent with Greek and Community Legislation and for the purpose of improving the services offered to its users and ascertaining the needs and aspirations of those.

7. Interim provisions
Non exercise by MOnuMENTA of any of its rights, claims or remedies does not constitute a waiver of such rights, claims and remedies. Present terms are governed and interpreted in accordance with the provisions of Greek law, whereas Greek courts shall have jurisdiction for the resolution of any dispute. However, MOnuMENTA has the right to waive the present term and apply and/or interpret present terms in accordance with the legislation applicable in the user’s country and submit any disputes to the jurisdiction of the courts of the latter’s country.
The adaptation, alteration of MOnuMENTA data and creation of derivative works that are based on those, in whole or in part, in a way that is not consistent with the applicable legislation, entails civil as well as criminal liability in accordance with the provisions of L. 2121/1993 “Intellectual Property”, Criminal Code and article 60 of Civil Code.
